Corkagh Park Angling Report – April 18th 2007

The carp lake is producing quality carp with Barry Mellon catching his personal best (and best fish of the month) at 11lb 12 ozs. Al Walshe caught 8 double-figure carp over the past 6 weeks. Paul McBrian has been catching some lovely carp this past two days averaging 8-10 lbs.

Henry Norton had three cracking good quality carp. Richie Keegan is also catching quality fish. Many more anglers are producing great numbers of fish including a tench, caught by Harry Kilpatrick, just over 5 lbs. Roach, Rudd and Perch are also being caught in great numbers (for the silver-fish enthusiast).

The trout lake is fishing well. The final of the Winter League took place and the winner was Vladimer Ligda with 3 fish to 97cm. Second place was Martin Pointin with 3 fish to 95cm and in third place was Ray Harris with 2 fish to 86cm.

The trout lake has been restocked with over 200 trout.
