Angling Report

Corkagh Park Fishery Report Oct 24th 2007

The trout lake is fishing very well for this time of year. There is still
plenty of activity on the surface. There are some nice fish being caught at the moment by Luca, Pepe, Brian Payne and Paul Lacey (the four amigos). They caught four or five trout on Tuesday last each. Gar Murphy and Paddy McLoughlin (from Rory's Tackle shop) had 25 trout between them at their last session. Jimmy Duggen caught 5 nice trout to 6lbs.

Pike report

Well known Pike angling guide Peadar O’Brien from Carrickmacross was out fishing for Pike on Lough Muckno last weekend and hooked this lovely Pike. Peadar hooked the Pike on a Jerkbait and had a great tussle with this fish which was just under 20 lbs. After unhooking and a quick photo, the pike was carefully put back to grow even bigger.
